About This Tour

Join us for a half-day tour that starts with a hotel pick-up at 8:30 am and a transfer to Stone Town, where you’ll meet your guide and captain and board the waiting boat. After a scenic 30-minute boat ride, you’ll arrive at a stunning island where you’ll have the option to begin your adventure with a swim in the crystal-clear waters to explore the underwater marine life or start with snorkeling, depending on the tide.

On the island, you’ll be thrilled to encounter the Giant Turtle, one of the largest turtle species in the world, weighing up to 250 kg and some of them over 150 years old. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insights about the island’s vegetation and wildlife as you explore it.

Additionally, you’ll visit the old building that gave the island its famous name: the prison. Although it was never used as a prison, visitors can still see the structure and learn about its history. Afterward, you’ll head back to the shore for a transfer back to your hotel.
