3 Days Mount Meru Climbing

Day 2: From Hotel to Momela Gate to Miriakamba Hut

Our guide will pick you up from hotel in the morning and drive direct to Arusha national park (momela gate, For climbing mount meru) it takes about 1 hours to the momela gate. passing across the Meru village and small serengeti where you can sport different animals Including Zebras, Giraffe, Monkeys, Antelope, buffaloes and warthogs . At the gate there is special place for tourist to rest and have lunch while waiting for registration permit and weighing luggage. After finishing, the hiking start for the second highest point in Tanzania (mount meru peak).

Our hiking Will Begin With Full Armed Ranger Escorting Us for security because of animals on the way .we will enjoy short safaris Simply We Can See Wild Animals Including Zebras, Giraffe, Monkeys, Antelope, buffaloes,warthogs and some times Elephants also exploring a wonderful fig tree with a big hole where vehicles can pass through in a middle while trekking to miriakamba hut for overnight.

Day 3: From Miriakamba to Saddle Hut

This day is short but steep ,after breakfast, we will start the hike to the saddle hut below Little Meru Passing through on mountain forest again With Full Armed Ranger Escorting Us . after 2 hour, we will leave the forest and enter the Moorland which is covered by scattered and short tree like Erica. The trail will open amazing
spectacular view of the Meru Crater and the impressive Ash Cone. After hot lunch at Saddle Hut we can make a short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and superb views of mount Kilimanjaro ,Mount Longido,in distance also meru village and big farms down below just before sunset.Back to saddle hut relaxation, while waiting relatively early dinner is served and short briefing from the guide before resting for few hours. We will wake up at midnight for the summit.

Day 4: Saddle Hut to Summit to Miriakamba to Momela Gate

We start early at mid night around 2:00 a.m for the final summit bid. .from saddle to the summit point is 4.5 km, walking time 4-5hrs This is the most challenging part of the journey with the highest altitude, very cold and windy segment of our journey. Tolerance and determination are potential to reach the summit. We will climb steeply to Rhino Point (3,800 m.) and on to Cobra Point (4350m). We reach the summit (4,566 m) for sunrise, there is a possibility to see Kilimanjaro Peak above the clouds. The final part of the climb is along and spectacular narrow ridge line between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater.

After taking enough photos for unforgettable memory in your life time and having small celebration, we will descend to saddle hut for a 2 hours resting. We will have a lunch( brunch) and after lunch, we will continue descending to miriakamba hut
passing through mountain forest,visit amazing waterfalls and enjoy the sound of water.
Before around noon upon arrival at the gate will be awarded mountain certificates for those who succeeded and reached to the top( socialist peak). After tipping mountain crew you will be transferred to the hotel in Arusha city at green mountain for overnight .

Day 5: Departure

This day is at your choice to be transferred to the airport for home bound flight or connecting to another destination like day trip, safari with RASHAD ADVENTURE or beach holiday in Zanzibar.
